Statement Planning was established in January 2025 by our Managing Director Iain Taylor BA (Hons), MTPl, MRTPI. Iain is a MRTPI Chartered Town Planner with over 26 years’ experience working within the ‘world of planning’. Prior to establishing Statement Planning, Iain was an Associate Director for seven years at an independent chartered town planning practice in Buckinghamshire, from where he moved from a role as Planning Manager at a top ten UK house builder. Beforehand Iain was the Head of Planning for a decade at a multi-award winning north-London based residential development company which he joined from a provider of planning services to the telecommunications sector. Prior to these roles, Iain worked as a Planning Officer at what is now Buckinghamshire Council.
Whilst presently primarily working within the residential development sector, Iain’s extensive experience has included / continues to include working on a wider variety of planning related projects, commonly including site feasibility / project appraisals and Policy analysis work, stakeholder negotiation, consultant and project management, the submission and on-going management of planning applications and – when required – the provision of Appeal services on behalf of a variety of clients including private individuals, housing developers, Affordable Housing providers and government clients.
